Alternating between editing, acting and writing, Montez McDade has worked with a wondrous mix of filmmakers, writers and artists. After three auditions headed by casting director Julia Kim, Paul landed a film role in Paul McCarthy & Damon McCarthy's: DADDA - Poodle House Saloon which led to another part in their Night Vater project. Ryan Culver's first feature film The Education of a Negro gave Paul the opportunity to not only act, but also edit. Ryan & Paul have since worked on two other projects including the Black Clown episodic series. A documentary portrait of Michael Esposito: an experimental artist and researcher in Electronic Voice Phenomena is also in the works.
Montez McDade is collaborating with Jidorea Woods and Jervey Tervalon in adapting
Jervey's novel Dead Above Ground into an episodic series.
As the First Assistant Editor, Paul Montez McDade recently completed working on a documentary for Artists Equity.
